In the team line-ups, Alan Smith analysing the formations of both teams between Tyler introducing the teams (without moving anybody in the formation using the machines like his predecessor). First time he has done this for over a season at least, I remember all co-coms used to do in on the live games, then they reduced it to just Gray.

EDIT: Tyler with a flat 'And Its Live'.

Since the 'unspeakable incident' has anyone noticed that there has been an increase in video sequences shown in live PL games on Sky?

Yep, that was noticeably less animated than usual.

Bloody hell, what next -- Jamie Redknapp is wearing a black tie so he must be pining for Keys and Gray?

Seems Tyler is dying for a Torres goal, he was rather excited on the chance Carragher blocked.

With McInally today, maybe a chance that with the current chages Sky may go back to installing 3 PL co-commentators? (Likes of when we had Gray, Smith and Platt) Goodman I'd imagine will do 2nd PL games and some FL games and someone else (possibly McInally) doing the odd other PL game?

Token Yank
Jon Champion and Efan Ekoku at Stamford Bridge for the international feed.

No Mann on the big match for 3D, maybe he'll be on the JPT 2nd leg tomorrow?

Well you put it more diplomatically than Justin Moorhouse on Twitter

"3/4 of an hour of Martin Tyler cock in hand waiting for Torres to score"

Some of the stuff being wrote about Keys and Gray and them missing being part of action yesterday is rather pedantic, they wouldn't affect the games that happened on the pitch yesterday.

However, for me and many other people in this forum or not who are interested in broadcasting (that's why we are here!) It is a big change from having the technical widsom of Gray and the master questioner Keys from being on screen one week and within a week or 2 they have abruptly gone maybe 5-10 years ahead of a natural wind down and retirement. Does take a bit more digesting, from a broadcasting point of view.

I Stress that is my viewpoint their don't get the guns out!

That's as may be, but it's getting damn tedious looking into this thread and seeing every few posts being some tenuous link to Keys and Gray.

I'm beginning to think it's got to the stage where we need a dedicated thread for all the over-analysis of the situation.

It's the 68th minute, Gray used to like this minute

MNF now starts at 7:30

MOTD got 5.24m viewers last night and a 31.8% audience share, very good for that show

An exciting weekend of football, with all those goals, the current top 4 picked up only FOUR points between them, wow!

Excellent commentaries all around, for Sky PL games, for Match of the Day and the Old Firm game too. Can't comment on the World Feed or the Wales Derby as I haven't heard those.

And when I referred to the 'And Its Live', it was nothing to do with Gray and Keys.. the 'And Its Live' seems to come up most weeks, before the incident which is now dominating these boards. At one point even discussing what Hawthorne and Parry say instead. For the record Parry didn't say 'Kick off just moments away' today.

I was hoping for the pairing of Parry and Francis today - McInally was reasonable though.
