Usually, Is it not on a Tuesday, both English games are on SS2 / SS4 and Rangers is on Red Button...

Not this season.

When this situation arises on MD4 they are using:

SS2 - Spurs (main game!)
SS3 - Man Utd
SS4 - Rangers

Jings, it wasn't my night for getting things right! It seems strange they're putting the English team on SS3 and Rangers on SS4, even though the former channel is more "prominent" --- SS4 will be the most plugged due to the interactive service.

Also, it seems very brave of Sky to not have Man Utd on SS2.

Well, they've had an English team on the red button before, back in 2004/05 they had Arsenal on SS2, Celtic on SSX, as was, and Chelsea, I think at home to Paris St Germain, on the red button, because it was an obvious home banker and Celtic's game was more appealing. When they were in dispute with Virgin and putting matches on Sky One I think they did that with Arsenal too, with Rangers on SSX.

As it happens, on that matchday Spurs have the biggest match and Rangers have quite an attractive game which seems more appealing than a boring Man U game away to some dull minnows, especially as the coverage might not be that great. In the past they may have just confined that to the red button.

Apart from the growl on the 'Oh Yes'... Leslie's goal call of Zhirkov's goal in the Chelsea game was a decent one. The call for Anelka's was average. I don't think he did himself any damage last night, sounded up for it aswell. Goodman is a very comfortable co-com, suprised he hasn't been moved up as yet to Premier League, or even used on MNF.

It's good to see Sky using regular partnerships on the CL. For example, Leslie and Goodman, Mann and McInally, Crocker and Provan, then of course the Big 3 are usually alongside Smith or Gray. A few of regular La Liga pairings on games involving Spanish sides too. Birtles and Weaver seem to be together alot on these games too.

I don't know if anyone watched it live last night, but on the highlights, having commentary on the Real Madrid - Milan game was near pointless, you couldn't hear Palmer... He completely cocked up the 2nd goal, watching from the screen he thought the ball was over the bar... then he realised it went in

Brace for impact.

Anyone know the Inter Milan/Spurs commentators for Sky Sports?
