Welcome to part 3. This thread should probably fill up the remainder of the Premier League season.

Please be civil and try not to make the bulk of the discussion about Richard Keys and Andy Gray, particularly any potential moves to a television network.

Sam Allardyce will be part of ITV's coverage of Denmark v England tomorrow. My Dad was on the same Manchester to Copenhagen flight as him this afternoon

There's some photos of Martin Tyler and Kevin Moran been posted on the Sky Sports Facebook page, showing them commentating on the first ever 3D football broadcast on Irish soil.

I never realised they actually wore the glasses. I thought they just commentated as normal on a 2D feed, sourced from one of the "eyes".

Possible they just had the glasses on for those pictures? I don't know how a 3D commentary works. Just musing

I asked this back in October and Sky's leading 3D commentator said:

"From a commentary point of view it's no different. We do the matches from inside the stadium, often from a different gantry. Our monitors show a 2D version of the 3D coverage.

The only difference for me is occasional in-vision presentation at half-time, but this doesn't happen often cos it's hard to manoeuvre 3D cameras into the appropriate positions to do it."

Of course I never asked about the glasses but I remember Parry/Smith last year wore them.

Well if their monitors are showing a 2D version, they won't be wearing them surely

Isn't that Tyler's first 3D?

Anyone else think it looked really awkward with Adrian standing in- between the pundits so he had to keep turning his back to one whilst talking to the other?

I imagine this could mean Clive will be covering ITV's CL game, Arsenal Vs Barcelona, alongside Jim Beglin next week since a rotation seems to be in effect betweent them them, so far this season in CL, England and FA Cup games.
