I've been more defensive than most about ESPN's Copa America coverage, but they really should have co-commentators on all the games. It looks even worse now knockout games haven't had them

As for pre-season friendlies, no harm in showing them. I don't class them as must see but there's a lot worse on TV!

Sky's adverts for the new football season are standard ads, no Elton John songs or celebrity cameos!

Looks like ESPN is bringing out their higher profile commentators for the knockout stages of the Copa America. Jim Proudfoot will do Brasil-Paraguay. No word on a co-commentator.

I heard of one being filmed a few weeks back featuring all the pundits etc. I guess we'll see that nearer the time, for now they're concentrating on what the first few games are which they have recently announced.

John Helm on the Women's World Cup Final for FIFA's world feed.

Ian Darke and Julie Foudy on the final for ESPN and I guess it's Guy Mowbray and Lucy Ward for the Beeb.

Goodness. Ian Darke might die the way he's commentating.

This final is miles better than the men's one last year.

The above clips remind me of what a loss Darke was to Sky.

With regards next years competition, can I be selfish and ask that we do the first week of the FL season and start of the PL asap as I'll be away from late July for two weeks with no access to a computer
