So it's Hawthorne again on this Derby.

Maybe I'm forgetting but I think he's done this match at least once every time since the 2007-08 season, when Tyler did both of our games (W 1-0 and 3-0).

I thought you'd posted it then changed your mind...so I used the mod power of reading previous versions of posts only to find your edit was because you were pipped to the post with the La Liga comms!

Surprised to see MOTD starting with Spurs V Newcastle. When was the last time a 'grand-slam' match didn't start MOTD when one was played?

Surprising indeed.

It's Steve Wilson at White Hart Lane.

Cannot believe they went with a comfortable Spurs win over Man Utd/Liverpool.

Even worse was the fact the continuity announcer announced something along the lines of 'Man Utd v Liverpool was the match of the day and you can see it on BBC One next' just before the show started.

Match of the Day are showing Kenny Daglish's interview with Geoff Shreeves from Sky after Kenny refused to speak about the matter to Jonathan Pearce.

Probably because of 'Arry to England talk, which is apparently more important than a title race/derby fixture with five times the storylines.

On my regional news programme, Look North, of who Damian Johnson was our sports reporter, last week it was announced Damian Johnson was leaving Look North, but didn't say what for. Reason I say this is because he is presenting the Football League Show now. Has Manish Bhasin gone?

[It's the same Damian Johnson who would pop up for post-match interviews on Match of the Day for either Motson, Mowbray or Pearce].
