Twellman is less talkative than Harkes and more insightful. Definitely a better partnership.

No idea who Twellman is and haven't heard him before but I really enjoyed his and Darke's commentary last night. I suspect Twellman's the sort of co-comm perfect for these lesser occasions but you might want someone with a bit extra for a big occasion. They worked well together though.

Twellman played for New England in MLS. Last season he was an ESPN studio analyst. He was also a guest co-commentator for TSN in Canada on days where they broadcast two games. I've only heard him a couple times, but I like him as well.

Just had a look at the Radio Times listings for the first week of Euro 2012. Phil Neville is listed as being a pundit for the Netherlands V Denmark match on the opening Saturday for the BBC - a new addition to the team? (I suppose given they're based in England it will be easier to get the ocassional person in for a guest appearance.) I noticed Klinsmann wasn't down to do either of the 2 live Germany games on the BBC - is he working for someone else again too? Actually Klinsmann, Redknapp or James weren't listed at all in the listings I saw...

The US have got some World Cup qualifiers coming up which means Klinsmann can't be used early on. Also didn't Redknapp pull out of the BBC coverage? Neville could be a replacement of sorts

It's Chiles with Southgate, Keane and Peter Reid at Wembley. Gabriel Clarke reports.

Surley ITV can do better than Roy Keane?
He really does come over so dead pan!

Al Jazeera's lineup is far better, Peter Reid is quite good but the rest are dull

Townsend is embarrassing. Is he the best ITV can do, really?

He's worth watching purely for the possibility that he might eventually snap and savagely murder Southgate and Chiles live on air.

A month with them and Townsend, plus his old mate Vieria, in Poland & Ukraine should push him over the edge

I would gladly tell you all who is doing Netherlands v Northern Ireland for BBC Two NI, but the BBC Sport website seemingly have no link to online video. Arrrgh

I'm still watching the game, albeit with German comms. Thankfully I speak the language a bit
