Surley ITV can do better than Roy Keane?
He really does come over so dead pan!

He's worth watching purely for the possibility that he might eventually snap and savagely murder Southgate and Chiles live on air.

A month with them and Townsend, plus his old mate Vieria, in Poland & Ukraine should push him over the edge ;)

Its going to be a very long painful month listening to those lot!!

I would gladly tell you all who is doing Netherlands v Northern Ireland for BBC Two NI, but the BBC Sport website seemingly have no link to online video. Arrrgh

I'm still watching the game, albeit with German comms. Thankfully I speak the language a bit

According to the program information on the BBC website it is Michael McNamee and John O'Neill. The presenter is Stephen Watson.

Anyone know who the international feed commentator for Portugal v Turkey is?

Townsend is embarrassing. Is he the best ITV can do, really?

I don't get what ITV see/hear in any of their presenters, comms, co-comms and pundits other than Beglin.

I don't count Champion and Burley but they are good

Couple of ESPN US assignments for Euro 2012 confirmed:

Poland v Greece - Ian Darke and Steve McManaman

England v France - Darke and McManaman
England v Sweden - Adrian Healey and Robbie Mustoe
England v Ukraine - Darke and McManaman

EDIT: Macca still sounds hoarse three weeks after he lost his voice at Man City!

A nice article talking about Channel 5's football coverage: http://www.wsc.co.uk/content/view/8641/38/

I remember Channel 5 advertising their live match on the advertising hoardings of the match that was live on the BBC.

Dan O'Hagan has tweeted that he's got a confirmed gig with Sky...

...though not with Sky Sports, it'll be Sky One. Are they bringing back The Match?

But surely they'd just use a Sky comm for that?

I've Tweeted asking about A League of Their Own maybe?

According to the Radio TImes Jon Champion & Craig Burley will be journeying down to Ukraine to do the match between France & Ukraine on Fri 15th June - presumably Clive Tyldesley & Andy Townsend will be covering the England V Sweden game for highlights that night (a bit like Mowbray & Lawrenson did for the BBC at the last World Cup although ITV didn't always use their first choice England team as Drury & Beglin did the match against Slovenia for highlights.) By my reckoning this means that due to the way things have worked out Tyldesley (and Townsend) will only have 2 live games over the first week of the tournament, Champion & Burley will have 3, and then Drury & Beglin will have 4. It will be interesting to see if Tyldesley gets 2 live matches amongst the final group games to make up for that.

Horrendously geeky observation, but in compiling the commentary lineups for Euro 2012 I couldn't help but notice the BBC co-comms all have first names beginning with the letter M.

Mark Bright, Mark Lawrenson, Mick McCarthy, Martin Keown.

I'll see myself out now!

Canada v. United States - NBC Sports Network

It was Gerry Dobson and Craig Forrest for Sportsnet on this side of the border.

Nice to see a good atmosphere for a Canadian home game. Hopefully will see the same for World Cup qualifying next week.
