To carry on from the previous thread. These are the two ESPN assignments that strike me as odd.

June 14th
Spain v Ireland - Darke and McManaman

June 15th
Sweden v England - Healey and Mustoe

The reason I say that is Darke and Macca are doing a game on June 13, but not June 16. I thought they would have done all the England matches. Not to mention Healey and Mustoe are more familiar with the Spanish team as they do La Liga games, while Darke and Macca are more familiar with the English team.

By the way, hate to bring up Andy Gray, but TSN2 are rebroadcasting the Euro 2008 final tonight with Adrian Healey and Gray's commentary. I've heard him a lot less than many of you, but I didn't really realize how much I've missed him as a co-commentator on big matches until now.

I'd imagine the reason Darke and Macca only got 7 group stage matches (including no Group A after tomorrow) is they're for now the only ones traveling back and forth from Poland to Ukraine. Spain match is in Poland and then England game is in Ukraine so it might be a production thing.

I'm admin but I have no idea how to change a username

Great news that Chris Moyles & Comedy Dave may be offering alternative red button commentary again which is great.

Also, Jake Humphrey is pitchside today with Alan Shearer as Gary et al present from the studio. So, I wonder if Shearer is going to be always in Pol/Ukr for pitchside stuff?

Contrary to what was listed, it looks like Simon Brotherton is commentating on the Poland-Greece game and not Steve Wilson (Source: Twitter)

Gary made a quip about being in Salford and then said "here for the group stages". So I do wonder if the'll be out in Poland for the latter stages.

Why can't BBC/ITV get studio pundits of the same quality as Al Jazeera? Why not go for Wilkins/Souness etc?

Won't Wilkins and Souness be tied up by exclusivity contracts by Sky where they cannot appear for another UK television station - in the same ways their commentators are and have to work for American/Australian networks to cover it.

Thanks. All edited. Pretty sure weeks back they listed it as Wilson/Bright.

Possibly but they are just examples, the studio punditry form BBC/ITV is appalling.

Then we get Mark Bright as co-comm. Jesus.

For talkSPORT, Richard Keys is presenting Poland Vs Greece and the opening ceremony with John Roder and Andy Gray, before the latter two focus on the commentary.
