If this needs to be moved somewhere else, can a moderator move it please?

Your username has been changed, Wanderer. :)

Ta!

Just to tidy up the BBC's team for Germany Portugal, Hansen has replaced Dixon in the studio, Jake and Shearer are in Lviv, with Mowbray and Lawrenson commentating

Derek Rae is probably one of the few commentators around who never sounds "off-tube" if that makes sense.

Kasey Keller is embarrassing. "Cristianaldo", "Peter Cech", "Mule-err", etc.

Wished they could've stolen someone from Sky for the summer.

It's very rare I say this about a commentary, but Lawrenson is actively ruining my enjoyment of this game.

The best bit was him having a dig at Podolski about not playing for the country he was born in. Oh the irony!!

Enough said about Mr.Lawrenson, when i heard that remark i thought is that the sort of remark you should be saying?
He really is so very very poor and i think i have said this before but i dont think he gives Mowbery very much encouragement at all, no banter nothing so very very bland.
On a another point has anyone heard anything about Steve Wilson and his where abouts?

Have to say, I've quite enjoyed Darren Anderton in the TSN studio. Considering he is new to TV, he seems to have a good opinion. Quick in concise in what he says. Someone in the UK (ahem, ITV) might be smart to bring him into their punditry team.

For those who want to hear him, here is a clip from TSN.ca (if its not geoblocked). He was better today than he was in that clip, by the way.

Just watched the highlights: http://www.espn.co.uk/football/sport/video_audio/154718.html

Dave Farrar for me is like Rob Palmer, can come out with good goal calls, then have weak ones. Farrar's call on the winner was good!

For Germany v Portugal, it was Clive Tyldesley and Andy Townsend.

I agree. For my money, Rae is up there with Champion, Darke and Tyler as one of the very best commentators out there. His knowledge of the European game is also second to none.

I think this was missed but Jake Humphrey said Alan Shearer would be returning to Salford after last nights game. Although Jake didn't say he would be too (for F1) unless he will now be joined pitch side by the co-commentator at games instead?

They might even fly another of the pundits out

Next F1 race is Britain, which is the week after the Euros finish, so I presume he'll remain out there

Yep, Jake is out in Ukr (and maybe Pol) for the entire tournament and is presenting the Olympics after that.

Some said he won't be back on F1 until September but I can't imagine him missing the British GP but we'll see.

I have to say that there's been praise for ITV's coverage so far and it is generally merited. I am expecting a comedy moment with someone outside their studio, it's rather brave being outside! I'm not keen on their pundits/co-comms but then the BBC's aren't great either although Lawro was good last night.
