A place for all PL chat. To avoid loads of threads I think this can include chat about Champions League/Europa League too. If people want a seperate thread then that's fine.

Who will win the league?
Who will go down?

I think it will be Chelsea again for the league, but as long as United don't that's fine

Relegation, I'll go for WBA, Wolves and Blackpool. I expect it to be close though, Wigan and Blackburn I can see down there, and maybe us if we can't get a decent goalscorer

Mighty Man Utd to win the league again now that we have a striker who isn't dead weight like Berbatov.

Relegated - Blackpool, West Brom, Sunderland

I've picked Sunderland 3 years in a row now. It will work.

It's hard not to include Blackpool as one of your three relegation picks really. I'd love to see them do well and 'hold their own' like Bolton have for nearly a decade and Stoke have more recently. However I can't see them attracting the sort of quality player every team needs to succeed. They were decent in the Championship last season but not stand-out.

Blackpool, West Brom and hmm Wigan for me to go I think.

As for top places, I don't know at the moment, Looks Interesting. Will have to wait and see on signings etc.

BTW is Cardio been invited, do we need 'If Hull were there' patter?!

I always root for at least 1 promoted team to do well.

From recent seasons...

2006-07 - Sheffield United
2007-08 - Sunderland
2008-09 - Hull (honest)
2009-10 - Burnley
2010-11 - Blackpool

Paul the Octopus I'm not.

Toronto FC vs. Bolton will air on GolTV in Canada I'm being told.

I'll find a link for you when the time comes.

I was going to that. Ah well, just a trip to Rochdale for me. Possibly Falkirk!

Would prefer Blackburn to go down as their football is awful, they don't sell out their ground most of the time which kills the atmosphere and generally wouldn't be much of a loss.

Not bothered about how Newcastle get on unless it goes down to the last day and we don't hear about anything else for a month afterwards -_-

Would like Cardiff to come up this season for some reason: not sure why. Seem like a decent enough club.

Sadly, we'll probably say goodbye to West Brom, Blackpool and Wigan: all of whom play attacking football and don't have too bad attendances on the whole but just don't have the finances or confidence to do well in the PL.

Blackburn have taken steps there, sitting home fans in the Darwen End (which was an away-only stand), and their average attendance as a percentage of the ground capacity is higher than Wigan's (who also have the lowest avarage0

I'd laugh if both went down to be honest

As for promotion, I'd like Sheffield United, Leeds, Forest, Derby or Doncaster to come up. Not too far for an away day

I can't take the mick out of empty seats given our home attendances which will decrease again this season.

I like local derbies so I actually prefer NW teams to be in the PL. Not going to miss the trek to Portsmouth this season and I always like going to West Brom.

TEW, our friendly against Morecambe has been replaced by a trip to Boundary Park to watch the mighty Oldham. The friendly there 4/5 years ago contained one of the funniest things I've ever seen at a football match.

I don't mind your lot anywhere near as much as I used to. Your manager clearly has the right intentions with his obsession with Jack Wilshire. The only thing that annoys me is that bloomin' drum: in all truth if you replaced it with vuvuzelas I wouldn't complain.

At least your ground is nice and quite modern, unlike Ewood Park and Fratton.

Ewood is fairly good for a ground redeveloped on its orginal site. Fratton was a disgrace though.

If (and that's a big if) Coyle can get us playing good football then out popularity may rise a little. Although, even when Sam was here we got stick, mainly because we beat the bigger teams and they didn't like it so they invented the "long ball" issue.

I think I'll go to that, should be at Spotland too and the Osasuna match

Decent enough win last night, selected highlights here, although no footage of the Elmander goal. Presumably the goal caused the camera to spontaneously combust or something

Nothing can be read into pre-season results IMO. We've had dreadful pre-season results and ended up doing well.

I'll be at those 3 friendlies to.

Bolton is a worldwide name?

That surprised me.
