I think most PL teams are known worldwide, obviously not like Man Utd but at some level.

Our interest has probably dipped some what since the Okocha, Youri, Campo, Hierro, Diouf and Anelka days

Wonder how spurs will get on in the CL? I think they could fall at the the qualifying stage as it could be really tough for them.

Well after the first weekend, good performances for Chelsea and Man United.
Blackpool couldn't have hoped for a better start but who knows what lies in store for them.
Liverpool and Arsenal, too early to tell.
Man City could have been a bit better, especially with their squad. Given the circumstances, Villa weren't too bad.

If I were a Blackpool fan, I wouldn't get too carried away - when we first came up we won 5-0 away from home, but still finished 16th. It'll give them belief they can compete but it's precisely just that - plus Wigan will be down there too

Villa played really well it appeared from the highlights, I still think they'll be top six

I'm happy with the draw against Fulham, considering we never beat them and Elmander looked as lively as he has done in ages

To be honest Wigan was one of the best draws they could have hoped for.
The other promoted teams got Chelsea and Man United away and West Ham who were relegation candidites last season drew Aston Villa.
Blackpool have Arsenal next weekend so the tangerine fans should just enjoy being second in the table while they can.

Which isn't saying an awful lot

Fulham were very hard to break down. Hopefully West Ham's form continues at Upton Park on Saturday, which I will be attending.

A great time to close the tube line that runs to Upton Park

My ticket came this morning, now figuring out how far down to drive before ditching the car and braving London public transport

I'm getting a bus from Stratford but that is more based around where I'm staying than anything else

Perhaps the two of you will get to meet Homesdale.

If Blackpool can get 4 past Wigan then Chelsea will probably win 14-0 this weekend.

Wigan are generally poor against the "big 4 sides". Last season was the first time they had won against one in the League in nearly 5 years (Man United were the only team to not lose against them in the end)

James Milner "I'm ambitious and I want to win trophies here. I believe this is a great place to do that and I believe we will do it. Hopefully, sooner rather than later"

good luck

Looking forward to seeing Ballotelli and Milner for City on Monday night... especially since Ballotelli scored in the Europa League this evening.

I also hope Newcastle get there first three points of the season on Sunday

very tough for us on MNF and can't say I'm really confident.
Cole being suspended is a blow, hopefully Ngog will keep up his good form and the defence and midfield will keep solid. As for City, Ballotelli scoring in the Europa League days after signing will really up his confidence.
Shame the same can't be said for Cole, who missed a pen and had a goal disallowed tonight.

Urgh, I hate Monday night games. You play after everyone else allowing them to get a step ahead (less of an issue at this stage of the season I know), they're often a pain to get to, and, well, we haven't done very well on Monday nights in the last few years.

Hopefully having to travel away in Europe this week will have some effect on them. Having said that though, their performance at Spurs should get us in a positive frame of mind, and if Torres starts and if we can push Gerrard up behind him leaving Mascherano (if fit) and Lucas in behind, I think we can do well.

Believe it or not, if it came to it I would prefer a Liverpool win tomorrow night. city need bringing back down a peg or 2, their fans are very giddy at the moment.

I've never rated Lucas!

We were poor 1st half yesterday, much improved in the 2nd. Still working out how either penalty decision was actually correct.

Please ship Nani back to Portugal.

Worst. Weekend. Ever. Toronto FC collapse and we can't solve the Craven Cottage Curse.
