I will be looking forward to that game now. I have a lot of time for Nessler as a broadcaster, on both his college basketball and college football work.

Agreed. Nessler is a lot better than that awful Greenburg/Golic duo.

Meanwhile I meant Chargers/Chiefs and not Raiders/Chiefs.

Con Murphy (Presenting),

Perhaps it's the same surname that's misleading, but I keep thinking of the comedian Colin Murphy when I see that name.

Ahhh what a good idea this is....I was out last evening and I've just been catching up on the World Golf Championship from Ohio, can anybody tell me if the commentary they were taking was from the Golf Channel, or from Sky themselves? It appeared to be a strange combination of voices usually heard on the Golf Channel, plus Sky's own Ewan Murray?

I only flicked over occasionally, but it did sound like the commentary was from The Golf Channel but with Ewan Murray as part of their team. A bit like when England play cricket overseas sometimes and they take the host broadcasters feed, but a couple of sky comms are doing it alongside them.

Whether that will change or not as the weekend goes on, as don't CBS or NBC usually show the weekends golf-or is this event different being a WGC one as opposed to a PGA one.

For this tournament, at the weekend Golf Channel will show the first hour and a half of coverage then switches to CBS. So not too different apart from the extra Golf Channel coverage

The coverage Sky are taking is effectively the world feed coverage. It's the same type of production as they have every week, but this week there is a seperate set of commentators instead of using the TGC/CBS commentators.

You can tell what is being shown in America as it has the Golf Channel logo on the graphics. When they are on a break the graphics just have the World Golf Championship logo on them.

Not sure whether it's related or not, but it's the same setup that Sky had during the WGC Matchplay earlier in the year which was also covered on the weekend by CBS. During the WGC-CA Championship, which was covered on the weekend by NBC, Sky took the actual TGC/NBC commentary feed, there weren't seperate comms.

Shane Warne's just been saying on Twitter that this will be his last test match for Sky this summer. I wonder if that'll mean Nick Knight will return for the final two tests.
