Liverpool v Trabzonspor UEFA Europa League Play Off confirmed for Thursday 19th August on ITV4

Interesting that ITV4 have picked that up so quickly. I wonder if it was part of a deal when they got the home Rabotnicki match.

We'll have to wait and see if anyone goes for the Man City and Aston Villa away legs. They may not want to clash with the Liverpool match but last season Rapid Vienna v Aston Villa kicked off at 18:15 and Timisoara and the Romanian play off teams last season kicked off at 18:30 so it may not end up being a full clash.

It looks like the new BBC graphics will be launched in earnest this weekend, with everything remaining yellow, rather than the previous selection of colours. The end of the new Football Focus titles can be seen here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/football_focus/8893356.stm

The same graphics were used for the European Athletics Championships last week

Still the same crappy titles for the football league on the BBC, thankfully they haven't kept those ridiculously cheap looking graphics they used last year.

I'll never be able to bring myself to watch The Football League Show tonight. Bring back The Championship or Football League Review!

Really disappointed with the late timeslot for The Football League Show tonight (seeing as there isn't a Match of the Day this week), particularly as BBC One's Saturday schedule looks so average tonight.

Surely they could have put it on before tonight's repeat of Live At The Apollo?

Live at the Apollo started at 11.05 though, going on for 30 minutes. Disappointing.

Will probably take a few weeks for him to settle in but I think Ben Shephard is doing pretty well so far on Goals on Sunday. He seems to have good chemistry with Kammy already which is essential to the show working well.

I'd forgotten about that. In fairness it must be such a logistical effort to put together the show so quickly, it's quite impressive that they are able get it out on a Saturday night at all. So if the late timeslot came about due to editing reasons then I'm not going to criticise them for that.

I know The Football League Show gets some criticism for cosmetic reasons (due to its titles, graphics, presentation, punditry and that God awful e-mail section), but for me the actual substance of the programme (showing all the goals from all the games, the highlights edits, round-ups, commentaries and voiceovers) are pretty much spot on so I have few complaints about the main aspects of the show.

Looks like Sky's graphics have had a bit of a refresh.

Wonder if the score DOG has changed.

Any news on any TV ratings at all or is it too soon? BARB's site is showing the top tens up to w.e. 25th July.

I know the Liverpool v Rabotnicki on ITV4 overnights were showing 947,000 viewers which is pretty impressive.

Seems a very surprising decision - Werder Bremen v Sampdoria was the obvious choice. Still, I'm sure Sky will be happy to have Bremen as their main game.

Will be interesting when Sky has both 2nd leg games - I suspect they will have Bremen as main game on SS2 and Sevilla on SS4
