BT have secured the exclusive live rights to Premiership rugby union from next season until 2017. From 2014 they'll also have the rights to English clubs' games in Europe

A killer blow for ESPN as a major sports broadcaster over here

And now Sky agree a renewal of Heineken Cup/Challenge Cup rights (should they still exist). ERC aren't happy it seems. Plot thickens

Sky have renewed deals with the cricket boards of Australia, South Africa and India, all on multi-year deals. That includes all their home international matches, plus they'll show the Big Bash and South African T20 domestic competition. South Africa deal is through to 2020. Australia and India not quite as long but at least 2016

Sky have got an ward off the FIA for the best F1 coverage
http://www1.skysports.com/formula-1/news/12433/8317200/Sky-Sports-w...

I can only go off their live coverage (don't watch the support programming) which has been very good but not really a step up from what the BBC did prior to this year. I suppose they have pre and post analysis for practice, but there's adverts during those sessions

Big F1 news today - Suzi Perry will take over as the BBC F1 presenter. Liked her on MotoGP, but feel a bit sorry for Lee McKenzie who I would have preferred to get the gig.

BBC live race weekends for 2013 have been confirmed too - China, Spain, Canada, Spain, Britain, Belgium, Italy, Japan, India and Brazil. The TBA race will also be live. Surprised Monaco isn't one as they seemed to ringfence that when the shared deal first came to light.

Rest of the BBC lineup will be confirmed in 'due course.' Sky's coverage is as you were, no change in personnel, with coverage staying on the F1 channel

Sky have picked up some NBA rights for the rest of the season - some games in London next Thursday, leading into regular games every Sunday, then playoffs including the Eastern Conference finals live and the NBA finals live too (NBA finals also live on ESPN too I think)

A few days ago, BBC announced they will be showing the BDO world darts championships through to 2016

BT will show WTA tour tennis when their channel launches. No official word yet but was confirmed in the Guardian with a quote from Simon Greene, so it's pretty much confirmed
